Demetrius Brown, Ed.D., grew up in Tampa, Florida, and attended Hillsborough High School. He went on to attend the University of Lynchburg (Lynchburg College), where he earned a master's in educational leadership and later a doctorate in Leadership Studies. Dr. Brown has authored several books, including The Life-Significant Choice, hailed as ""A must-read for anyone seeking clarity, purpose, and momentum,"" by Spotlight Reads. Dr. Brown currently serves as a professor at Virginia University of Lynchburg. His passion for leadership includes speaking at high school graduations as well as lecturing at colleges and universities. Steadfast in service, he directed the Links Intercultural Leadership Summer Program and acted as Co-Chairperson for the African American Affinity Group. Dr. Brown received the Commitment to Service Award in 2025.
