You Wanted That Man is a story based on Angela's views on life from the perspective of feeling like she was in prison while he was in, but she was right at home. There were many days she didn't know how she was going to make it. She is the mother of three children by her man. She loved him dearly, wanted him to change, and wanted her marriage to work. However, she didn't fully understand that life is not pretty when a person shows you how they feel about you and who they really are. Her upbringing had her feeling convicted, and this is why she stayed in the marriage for twenty-seven years. This is not a book on ten steps to turn things around in your marriage. It is not to put anyone down, but it is to uplift women who feel stuck. Whether it's your family, friends, religion/church, or yourself that has you feeling like you must stay married to your man at all costs, these stories might help you make a clear decision to hope for the best and stay with your man (if that is your choice), but it will not encourage you to leave your man based on what she endured. Her goal is for you to find comfort in believing that maybe your man is not so bad after all.
