Author Information

Paola Lopez is a first-generation Mexican American author, registered nurse, and mother whose storytelling is inspired by her daughters, Vida and Maya. Her writing celebrates family, love, and the everyday rituals that connect us across generations. Ya Nos Vamos a Dormir is her debut bilingual picture book. Valerie Butrón is a bilingual author, educator, and co-founder of Tumbao Bilingual Books, as an independent publishing company dedicated to celebrating multilingual stories rooted in heart, heritage, and belonging. A former classroom teacher and district instructional leader, she has spent over two decades supporting culturally and linguistically diverse learners and the educators who serve them. Vanessa Moreno is a creative and versatile children's book illustrator with over 7 years of experience in digital and editorial illustration. Specialized in character design, visual storytelling, and background illustrations, having illustrated over 40 published books and collaborated with 70+ international clients. She is passionate about editorial illustration that combines artistic creativity with narrative clarity.
