OverviewThe review article in this short book examines the nature, causes and consequences of affect at work. It focuses on two major categories of affect: moods and discrete emotions. The review is aimed at readers with an interest in affect and well-being at work, including researchers, practitioners, lecturers, and students of organizational and occupational psychology. Much of his research focuses on studying emotion in applied settings. He has published over 70 journal papers, as well as books and book chapters. Peter led the UK ESRC-funded large grant 'Emotion Regulation of Others and Self' (2008-2013). Her research focuses on the ways that people try to control their own and particularly others' emotions. She is interested in what drives these attempts to control emotion and what consequences these attempts have for people's lives. Karen has conducted studies in various social settings, including workplaces, romantic relationships, peer groups, and prisons, to explore these issues.
