The writers are Barbara Summey Marshall, a former Navy Chaplain, Womanist Theologue and Social Advocate. The other is Maya Valrissa L. Marshall, a U. S. For better than a decade, the Marshall- Neely family opened their family home to homeless women veterans and then in August 2010 purchased their first of three VA foreclosures in Fort Bragg/Fayetteville, NC These women veterans took the risk and opened their hearts, their homes and their purses to help women veterans and their families elude homelessness. The first VA foreclosure was named The Jubilee House which was renovated by the ABC Extreme Home Makeover Team. Most the women veterans helped had overcome many challenges and yet continued to fight for stability, reintegration and fair treatment. Neither Invisibility, Injustice, Misogyny nor Violence against women veterans will turn back the clock. Women Veterans Matter and many have died on the battlefield defending this great nation.
