Reviews

Lawrence D. Longo and Lawrence P. Reynolds's volume provides a compelling and compendious archive of illustrations of the gravid uterus with fetus and placenta from the late fifteenth through to the nineteenth century. ... The strength of the volume is that it achieves this goal by a judicious selection of illustrations that are beautifully reproduced in rich detail. (Rory du Plessis, ISIS, Vol. 109 (1), March, 2018) This title will serve as a helpful resource to students, faculty, and researchers. As one expects in a book from Springer, the illustrations, which serve as the heart of this book, are beautifully printed, and the larger format allows for adequate scale. This is certainly a volume that should be available in any medical library. Summing Up: Recommended. Lower-division undergraduates through faculty and researchers; professionals. (I. Richman, Choice, Vol. 54 (4), December, 2016)
