Author Information

I am 74 years old heading to 100. The first half of my life wasn't that great, I figure I'll hang around and see what the last half is like. My High School Office Practice classes kept food on the table and a roof over our heads. I managed to stay afloat and responsible for raising my 3 children and 3 step-children in the later years. I retired, living in the Ozarks of Missouri; migrating West at the age of 30 and returned when I was 66. That's a long time away from home. Now is the time to drag the skeletons from the closet, shake them out and see if they are any good to humanity. I don't mind rattling a few bones if it makes it better for someone else. This collection of writings came about when I recognized my marriage was going asunder in the 1970's. The heart wrenching, not very popular, decisions I had to undertake were not applauded by the watchers standing by. I am now happily married for 35 years to my 2nd husband, who has always allowed me the freedom to be just who I am. Sometimes that isn't an easy task. I look out my window, I love where I am, I can go out the door to anywhere I want to go, and take the lesser traveled path, as my personal preference. There are still a few bridges to cross, some to burn and many pictures to take. See you on the fly over!
