We must never forget the heroism and sacrifices of so many. This is a story that belongs in every library. --Elaine Lowry Brye, author of Be Safe, Love Mom I enjoyed reading this creative account of the Battle of the Bulge. Author Information

Dave DeVisser's interest in World War II history began fifteen years ago when he purchased and restored a 1942 military jeep with his friend Dave Scheffers. Since then, he has built an extensive library of books on the war, and authored Willy and Sherman: Battle on the Beach, a children's book about D-Day. Dave is a member of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association (MVPA), and enjoys displaying his jeep and sharing his knowledge at veterans' Honor Flight Tours and school events. Dave's father was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Philippine Islands and Okinawa. The motivation to write the story about the Battle of the Bulge originated in the author's desire to spark children's interest in the history of WWII and to show them the value of loyal friendships.
