Felix Sennitt uses felicitous words with a rich blend of humor, agony, and thoughtfulness. He offers pause, hope, and redemption to the reader who takes the time to read this slowly and well."" --Stephen Parker, author of The Heart of an Elder ""With fresh images that speak to anyone--the last bite of warm pizza ('Eternity'), doggy-do on a child's foot ('Clean and Unclean') or a young man's father-hunger ('Small and Insignificant')--these poems show what the good news of Jesus does in a contemporary life."" --Grenville Kent, Australian College of Ministry ""Percy Bysshe Shelley said that poetry is the expression of the imagination. But, unlike Shelley, Felix Sennitt has used his poetry to point us to the Lord Jesus. In his first published work, he uses a variety of poetic styles across various topics, laying bare his thoughts to us. I found this to be an encouraging read."" --Martin Pakula, Presbyterian Theological College, Melbourne ""Felix Sennitt's collection of Christian verse is experiential, self-revelatory, confessional, reverential, and deeply theological. Each poem invites readers to reevaluate their walk with God, to rediscover the basis for their joy and freedom in Christ. In these tightly crafted poems, Sennitt moves beyond the standard stuff of traditional Christian poetry--the self-revelation of God in the beauty of his creation--to focus on the work of Christ in soul-refreshing ways. Definitely worth reading."" --James R. Harrison, Sydney College of Divinity ""A truth has not done its work until we have seen it with the eyes of our heart. Only then can it set us free. The poetry of this book offers us many glimpses of truth which, if we will allow it to breathe, will lead us to that freedom."" --Peter Atkins, Geneva Christian College" What a delight! Felix has completed a master of theology, which explored how the biblical book of Lamentations helps Christians to write poetic verse for the purpose of processing painful emotions like grief. Apart from the Bible, his favorite book of all time is The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
