This is the first book by Dock Wharff in a planned trilogy of action and suspense. Covert ops, clandestine monies, political maneuvering, home grown terrorists, ex-cons and cartels lead to mayhem and chaos. Dock has a Journalism degree with a major in marketing from Ohio University way back in the late'60's. He spent the majority of his life in marketing as a promotional advertising account executive. After years of glad handing, to be polite, he struck out on his own as a manufacturer's independent rep selling to the golf market in the Carolina's. Now retired, he set his sights on completing a novel. For several years he has been fascinated by our vulnerability to terrorism, reading hundreds of news articles on Muslim extremists from Russia through Turkey, the Middle East and Northern Africa. Wharff studies led him to the Muslim movement in the U.S. and how it radicalized in our prison system as far back as the 1930's through the Black Panther and Malcolm X eras. They are not in organized cells as we have seen in the Middle East and Europe. In most instances they act alone or with a select few. It has been nearly impossible to identify these jihadists. The rough draft of WHO'S YOUR NEIGHBOR was so well receive by friends that three of them have talked Dock into a re-write, utilizing their first-hand knowledge. Jack retired with 25 years of service as a covert CIA op and both Jerrys are Viet Nam Vet's, one of which provided CIA support during the war. The book has taken on a life of its own and has blossomed into a trilogy, AMERICA'S WORST NIGHTMARE. If you enjoy reading WHO'S YOUR NEIGHBOR you'll really enjoy Volume Two, WHAT COMES AROUND, coming in late 2016. MIGHTY BUT MERCILESS GOD IS the final book of the trilogy will be published in mid-2017. Wharff has been involved in Rotary until retiring. He was Little River, SC Rotarian of the Year in 2008 and a Paul Harris Foundation member. He was a founding member of the Little River Elks Lodge. Currently, Wharff is involved with the Eustis Elks Lodge in Eustis Florida and a volunteer at the Bay Street Players Theater.
