This is a biography of a man born in Paris in 1873, educated at private schools in the United States and who came from a long line of learned and successful businessmen. The book takes the reader back in time before electricity, cars, indoor plumbing and all the comforts modern society now enjoys. During his life time, inventions were coming along fast and furious and he was right at the leading edge of a revolution of mechanical and engineering breakthroughs. The subject of this biography left his life long accumulated wealth to his alma mater in order to foster a project dear to his heart. A fortune built by his genius and ambition was given to carryout an important and long standing dream he had until his death. His money was taken but his directive denied. What happened to carrying out his wishes remains a mystery to this day.
