Overview

As a civil war looms in the United States, Robert Richards, the son of a wealthy plantation owner, is sent to live in England by his mother, in order to protect him from his father's abuse. There, he settles into a more peaceful life in a large manor house, situated across a field from an orphanage where Mary an Irish girl whose parents died in a fire, waits desperately hoping for a chance to experience love once more. Across the Isle in Ireland Aggie a beautiful Irish waif whose mother has died in poverty on their Irish farm is sent to live with her vile aunt and abusive Uncle. With her mother's last words echoing in her mind, she is saved from a life of misery and physical abuse by the village priest who takes her to Green Haven a secretive castle on the coast of Ireland that is filled with knowledge, learning, and mystery. Aggie with a near perfect memory and the knowledge of the world at her finger tips fans the coals ambition within her to become wealthy and enjoy a life of comfort at any cost. The three cast aways with divergent lives begin to converge in unlikely fashion as fate and an ancient mysterious woman begin to shape and form their destinies. But can Aggie fulfil her ambition and create the life of luxury her other wanted for her? Will Robert remain far from the clutches of his cruel father. And can Mary put her past behind her?
