Who Am I in this World? is the story of a long line of daring Gypsy women, and a chain of generations bent by one girl that allowed herself to become who she really was. That girl is Rowena Marin. Rowena's community is called the Silversmiths and is settled in Romania. Although the ones who stayed behind were made slaves in the 19th century and were deported during World War II, they never gave up on their country. Listen carefully to hear the great-great-grandmother's song, enslaved in her youth. Close your eyes and see the caravan where Rowena's grandmother was born.
