Where's My Curiosity takes us on an adventure. We look everywhere. In the stars. On the wings of a bee. And then we find that curiosity lies inside of us. All of us. This brightly illustrated story is a collaboration between a grandmother, Karen and grandson, Syama. Karen Krejci specializes in Elementary Education with a focus on Reading Literacy. It is this knowledge that informs the outline of the book. The use of Rhyming and Repetition encourages language development and memorization. With Syama's relatable and approachable illustrations we feel included and excited to look for our own curiosity.

Author Information

Karen Lee-Krejci has made a life out of teaching children the skills and love of reading. She holds a BA in Elementary Education, and a Masters in Reading and Literacy. Stories hold a particular interest in her work, as they invite both adult and child to slow down and spend time with each other, all while learning to read. Karen is an accomplished songwriter and relies on the quality of rhyming and repetition in her books to encourage memorization and the association of words. She has also developed reading and comprehension programs for children around the world. Karen lives in North Pole, Alaska with her dog Maggie, and currently works within the educational communities of (Inuit) Alaskan children. Syama Lee is a Self-Taught Illustrator with a strong focus on watercolor, pencil, and ink. Drawing engaging characters out of any idea comes naturally, and with an unending delight. Syama has always loved children. His greatest joy is bringing a smile to a child's face. He uses this gift of hand to capture the imagination and ignite the playful spirit in people of all ages. Syama believes that illustration has the ability to connect with any person, across any culture. Syama lives on 10 beautiful acres outside of Atlanta, GA with his dog Scout, and family. He spends his time creating and dreaming up characters to inspire and captivate.
