Overview

After making the next cut in the American Star singing competition, the Sister Soul Trio heads to New York City for the show finale. The newfound fame puts strain on the family and their relationships as rumor mills swirl through media outlets about Gladys, Janice, Dionne, and the voices they hear in their minds. Besides competing on the world's biggest stage, the trio is thrust into a search for their long-lost mother and grandmother, Olivia Parker, who they discover is homeless in New York City. Desperate to uncover more truths about their past, the trio finds additional family and support in their search for Olivia. But a blackmail conspiracy by the famed American Star producer, Michael Balducci, causes the trio to unite with their friends to end Balducci's web of lies and prevent disaster as he aims to control their careers like a puppet master.
