Author Information

Kate Hudson was born in Australia. She travelled to the UK in 1973 and there she met her husband to be John Hudson who was a successful recording engineer. John had previously worked for BBC TV. In 1977 they created and, for the next three decades, ran the legendary Mayfair Recording Studios in London. The studios were at the heart of the world's music industry with almost every famous artist recording there at some time in their careers. As well as running the studios John and Kate also owned a cattle breeding enterprise. It was a strange combination but both businesses were wonderfully successful. Kate was responsible for all things financial for both businesses . A tall order in the years from 2003 - 2008.
