OverviewBeatrice Farmer is a woman before her time. Born in the first decade of the 1900's in a small Missouri town, she learns how to balance life, love and family. Raising her children through the Great Depression and World War II, she finds love outside a loveless marriage. Determined to do the right thing in the eyes of the church and her children, she denies herself life's pleasures until she can no longer take the abuse her husband refuses to relent. Once she ventures out on her own, she learns that life doesn't turn out the way she imagined. Still, she lives by a code of her own where hope is still very precious and love covers a multitude of sins.
