Overview

Westar Rising is the story of a young Half-Elven Bard as he makes his way through a journey of discovery. Follow Anthos as, with the help of his Mentor and Master, Terril Sims Westar, he discovers that he can make magic through the Bardic music he performs, and as he works to grow into his power. He learns more about the wider world and gets involved in the intrigue of spies and the Kingdom he lives in. He is also able to learn more about himself, his Elven heritage, and love. He faces trials and a Bandit society known as the Black Hand, and a secret they are willing to kill for.

My name is Lyle Allred, and I was a schoolteacher for 20 years, who just recently retired. I taught Special Education for most of that time but always had a love for History where I began my teaching career. I started writing these books because I hoped they might encourage students like I taught to read more. I felt I had a story to share and had been writing it in my head for several years before I started to put it down on paper. I have been married for over 37 years to my beautiful wife, and we have 6 children and 12 grandchildren. I hope you enjoy the story of Anthos and his friends.
