OverviewThis is a go-to book to learn about the tools for the enactment of the virtue of phronesis or practical wisdom. After a survey of Virtue Ethics, with the introduction of the notion of ‘phronesis’ in Chapter 1, in Chapter 2, I consider a number of dilemmas in human conduct and society that phronesis has to deal with. In Chapter3, I discuss the limits of reason in phronesis, and in Chapter 4, the central issue of self and other.
