Dr. Chui's research interests encompass applied and computational mathematics, with an emphasis on splines, wavelets, mathematics of imaging, and fast algorithms. Johan de Villiers is a professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Mathematics Division at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
