"Industries produce larger amounts of wastewater and the problem associated with their disposal has increasing significantly worldwide. Effort to minimize the production of wastewater and to remediate the existing wastes has become one of the most environmental challenges that the world face today. Among the plantation crops, Coffee plays an important role in world economy. Coffee is the world's second most traded commodity next to oil. Coffee is the global third most consumed beverage, after water and tea. Coffee farms provide the economic livelihood of over 25 million people around the globe. Coffee is grown in over 50 countries in Asia, Africa, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Not only used for brewing a cup of stimulating and refreshing in the cup, coffee bean through decaffeination provides caffeine for beverages (Cola) Pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The genus Coffea is an important member of the family Rubiaceae, there are about 70 species of Coffea. Only 7 species under genus Coffea have economic importance among that Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora (Robusta) has the commercial value. Arabica accounts for 70% and considered more flavourful. Robusta is hardier and cheaper, commonly used in soluble coffee. The province of ""Kaffa"" in Ethiopia is considered to be the original habitat of Arabica. As per International Coffee Organization (ICO) during the crop year ie. October to September 159 million bags of 60 Kg each produce."
