OverviewMy maternal grandfather, John Valentine Campbell, was a private in the US Army during the Spanish-American War. He served in Cuba and the Philippine Islands. John saved letters he received from his oldest sister and two cousins. He also saved letters he received from two sons who served in World War II. These letters have been transcribed and are included in this book.
