Overview

Kids, saddle up and get ready to join the search in this historical fiction western set in present day! The four intrepid Botanic Hill Detectives--Lanny and Lexi Wyatt, Moki Kalani, and Rani Kumar--travel to the Mayfield family's rural California horse ranch east of town to tackle their third mystery. The mission? To investigate the theft of valuable objects from the barn and corrals. Soon, their case entangles them in the hunt for a long-lost gold mine, the exploration of a snake-infested ghost town, and the identification of a threatening black-clad figure on horseback known as the Phantom Rider.

I am the author of The Botanic Hill Detectives Mysteries series for kids aged 9-12 (Middle Grade).My goal is to get my books into kids' hands and hearts. As a mother, grandmother, retired teacher, and now children's author, I have made kids my life. They rock! I wish they ran the world. I created my four detectives to be responsible, respectful role models for my readers. I live in beautiful San Diego, California, which is the prototype for Las Palmitas, the Pacific resort town where my series is set. My historic neighborhood of North Park is the prototype for the detectives' neighborhood of Botanic Hill. Currently, I am writing Book 4 in the series and promise many more to come!
