Pierre Schnebelen, the author, with a French engineering degree, was granted an assistantship by Paul Samuelson, Nobel Prize in economics at MIT. After completing a Master's degree at MIT's Sloan School and a helicopter crash, drafted as co-pilot in the Algerian war - President de Gaulle mobilized him to develop the modern Ski Industry. He developed Tignes and Val Thorens: two prototype resorts soon inspired the world. The number of skiers, between three and five million in 1962, grew to 350 million worldwide. His enterprises made France the number one ski destination. In 1992, Schnebelen and his wife, Francoise, were told by Mary, Joseph's wife, that they have been Moses and Sephora.
