Author Information

Having studied photography, Fitzmaurice started out as a staff photographer on the San Francisco Chronicle. She has since worked at Sports Illustrated, ESPN, National Geographic, and more, as well as shooting for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her commercial clients have included Apple, Google, Nike & Facebook, and she is a Nikon brand ambassador. She won the Pulitzer Prize for photography in 2005, and has been a winner in the American Photography Awards.
