Overview"Vision is perceived in the brain. Eyes act as a camera. Mind is uniquely individuated in each of us even though, anatomically and functionally, the human brain is the same. The meaning of vision will depend on what context it is used. There is physiological vision and a philosophical vision. In each portrait, I saw something more than the costumes that attracted me and provoked my initial curiosity. Each person conveyed something that led me to photograph them. To give a few examples, when I looked at a little Nepali girl........ Words of wisdom do not necessarily have to come from a saint or an intellectual. Often an ordinary person may express very meaningful words of wisdom without even realizing. I came across such a situation. Several years ago I went to Baltimore port.
