She is also a Global Fellow at the Peace Research Institute (PRIO), Oslo. She is the author of fourteen books, including the prize-winning The Political Economy of Violence against Women, and The Oxford Handbook of Women, Peace, and Security, with Sara E. Davies. Cat Gould grew up in Sydney, Australia, and after extensive travel moved to the United States in 1990.
