OverviewExcerpt from Victorian Hill and Dale: A Series of Geological Rambles Like many other things in this world, these sketches have grown. In 1899 I wrote an account of the geology of Melbourne for the handbookiof the Melbourne meeting of the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science, which took place early in the following year. Then followed several popular lectures on the same subject, and in the summer of 1905 - 6 I contributed, under the name of physicus, a series of geological articles to the Melbourne Argus. Thesei have here republished, with a few alterations, and I desire to thank the proprietors of that journal for their kind permission to use them again. A few additional chapters have been added, in the hope that they may be of some. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
