OverviewWhile Jake Prescott and his staff try to take some well-deserved time off, a monster from their past awakens, triggering the murder and mayhem memories of the past year. At that time, they had learned that someone, or some organization, was trying to eliminate scientists or anyone highlighting the global warming crisis. Slowly, they realize that all the efforts and analysis they had accomplished in the previous year might have been concentrated on the wrong industry. Although some of the problems had been directed either by or towards the petroleum industry, they suddenly learn the main cause of global warming might be the animal-agriculture and meat-growing industry. Jake Prescott and his beautiful girlfriend Sabrina Wagner try to catch some sun and relaxation in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their plans for a romantic vacation are cut short when an old school chum, Mateo Perez, contacts Jake. Working for the Buenos Aires police and Interpol, Mateo is dealing with the environmental resistance to the huge animal agriculture industry. Jake joins forces with Mateo but they are both sidetracked and stalled by the actions of major Balkan drug cartels working in South America. Before long, they are all involved in another dangerous game of cat and mouse with a familiar enemy from Jake's past, who is not only determined to stop this talk about global warming, but is involved with major street gangs and drug cartels . . . a game with deadly results. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationIan has always been a multifaceted individual, a person who, when confronted with a challenge or a new interest, does not hesitate to learn a new skill. Described by family and friends as a renaissance man, as a young man he defied the norms, bought a fishing boat and fished the BC coast, a project that grew into other scary adventures. After university, he tried his hand at construction, where he learned pipefitting and metal working, then worked in pulp mills where he obtained his steam engineering time and other operating skills. Later, working as an environmental technologist, he attended night school to obtain his certification as an engineering technician. When he decided to sail the coast with his family, he built a sailboat and studied navigation to meet that challenge, including building his own sextant. Ian has been writing for many years, mainly travel stories, marine articles and historical fiction. He has lived and sailed the BC coast most of his life, adding to his knowledge of local marine lore and historical details. Throughout his working experience, he has lived with the maxim of becoming an instant expert, a concept that helped him through many rough periods. He now lives with his wife Diana in Tsawwassen, a coastal community in South Delta about twenty-five miles south of Vancouver. More than thirty years of work in the environmental industry and international travel and languages has provided him with a wealth of detail and experience to write about the subjects covered in his books.
