KARI SPENCER is a writer, instructor, and advocate for the art of urban farming. She codirects the Great American Seed Up and is the owner/operator of The Micro Farm Project in Phoenix, Arizona. She's the author of City Farming: A How-to Guide to Growing Crops and Raising Livestock in Urban Spaces.
