OverviewThe aim of this paper is to use the literature reviewed to demonstrate the contribution that the use of coaching tools can make to high-quality leadership of employees and, furthermore, the influence that high-quality leadership can have on nursing practice. A prerequisite for the use of coaching tools is clarification of the terms coaching and employee coaching. Once this has been explained, the topics of motivation, conflict and change management will be addressed with the help of coaching methods. Focusing on things that cannot be changed (immediately) is the best excuse for doing nothing. The aim of using coaching tools should be to think in terms of solutions rather than problems.
