Zipes has received numerous awards, endowed multiple professorships, and is a member of various cardiology organizations, lecturing globally. He writes a health column for the Saturday Evening Post and serves as the editor-in-chief of a respected cardiology journal. Married to Joan for 65 years, he resides in Bonita Springs, Florida, and Carmel, Indiana, and is a proud father of three and grandfather of five.
