He carried out post-doctoral research at Heidelberg, Uppsala, Ryukoku, and other universities. He has published extensively in journals at home and abroad. His major works include From 1947 Partition to Bangladesh (2021), The Foreshadowing of Bangladesh (2012), and Inside Bengal Politics (2003).
