Overview

The book deals with the workings of the Food and Agriculture Organization, (one of the oldest and most critical organization in the present context of climate change and increased demographics) of the United Nations. It is written by an insider to the organization. The book voluntarily does not detail too much the statistical and structural pieces of evidence to provide for easy reading. It concentrates on providing simple illustrations of the statements and findings. Many of the facts are not new, but it is to my knowledge the first time that they have been gathered under one book and that the inter-linkage of the key issues has been produced. The book also establishes formally 1) important similarities between the workings of the United Nations and criminal organizations 2) the role of the United Nations in the power play between nations in securing geo-political interests (e.g. mining, oil) 3) the links between the United Nations and the Secret Services of powerful nations. The main objective of the book is to demonstrate beyond doubt how the United Nations system at large and FAO in particular are antiquated in their structure, corrupt in their practices and unfit to meet the objectives which are so vital for peace and wellfare. A secondary objective is to increase the awareness of a larger public as to where tax money goes and to increase the degree of scrutiny of the United Nations. A third objective is to show how poorly the needy of this planet are served through said organizations which concentrate the bulk of the aid money, and now unfortunately attract that of private foundations such as the Bill & Melinda Gate foundation. My own ambition for the book is for it to reach the widest possible audience and to trigger a total reform of the United Nations system and a sanctioning of the most damaging individuals in their midst.
