Overview

The proceedings of this symposium cover a wide range of rapid dynamic processes in semiconductors and high-Tc semiconductors. The symposium presents the latest achievements in the understanding of low-dimensional structures, quantum transport and tunnelling, high-speed electronics and photonics, chaos and noise, microwave and infrared radiation generation and microdevices. The 17 invited contributors cover a broad spectrum of problems in condensed-matter physics; especially those related to high-speed electronics and photonics, low-dimensional structures and mesoscopic semiconductor systems. This book aims to aid in tackling many of these problems, and provide insight into the behaviour of ultrafast phenomena in semiconductors.
