It is based in part on true events of the day, and confirmed historical records, letters, written and received during the Civil War (1861-1865). The Civil War in America gave the Catholic Church the ability to grow its faith and accept its teachings. It allowed and promoted the acceptance of their Irish members. A great deal of Military History has been written about the men who served in these Armies. The Battles that were fought, the cities and towns they occured in across the nation. This is a story about those women who served on the Battlefields of this American Civil War.
