THOMAS S. FREEMAN is the Research Editor for the British Academy John Foxe Project and he is affiliated with the University of Sheffield, UK. He is co-editor (with Sue Doran) of The Myth of Elizabeth and (with Thomas F. Mayer) of Martyrs and Martyrdom in England, c 1400-1700.
