Set in a dystopian version of present-day America, From Trumerica with Love is the story of Liam and Gemma, two souls determined to find a sliver of freedom amidst a society that thrives on fear and betrayal. In Trumerica, a superstate where truth is subjective and surveillance is omnipresent, Leader for Life Donald Trump and billionaire businessmen obliterate individuality. Through it all, Liam and Gemma plot to assassinate Trump and dream of escaping a country where propaganda trumps free speech, their joy and love challenging the very fabric of a society built on hatred and control. In the 1940s, George Orwell wrote 1984 (also published as Nineteen Eighty-Four) as a warning against totalitarianism. In today's world, with the rise of technology and the ever-increasing control over our lives by governments and corporations, the warnings of Orwell's novel are more relevant than ever. Reading Orwell isn't a prerequisite for From Trumerica with Love, but he did provide its inspiration.
