Overview

An Ironman triathlon is considered one of the hardest endurance races in the world. It is comprised of 140.6 miles of pure terror and glory. Athletes swim, bike, and run the distance in no more than seventeen hours. You may have watched videos or read stories of professional athletes finishing the race in less than eight hours. You also may have heard of people overcoming impossible odds. Fighting addictions, losing limbs, or even coming back to life after a major accident and completing an Ironman. What you haven't heard is the story of 90% of age group athletes who, for some unknown reason, decide 140.6 miles is a good idea. This is that story. A story of an average dude, with a family and a job. A dude who isn't elite, doesn't eat healthy, and won't try to sell you products or tell you the correct way to compete. A normal, average person who made the decision to try something incredibly hard. Come take a journey with me. You'll laugh, you'll cringe, and you might even cry.
