A surprise visit by one of Mellissa's sons lifts everyone's spirits. One evening, Megan complains of an irritating throat; Paul insists that she has it checked, as it has been ongoing for a while. Diagnosed with a nodule on one of her tonsils, Megan is admitted for what should be a normal tonsillectomy, but it doesn't go as planned."
