Growing up, Damali would visit the salon with her aunts and always attempted to recreate the hairstyles on her dolls. She had a mother that supported her undoubtedly while her father insisted she pursue a college degree. Upon getting a degree in Business Management, Damali finally pursued her dream as a hair stylist at Paul Mitchell the School-Tampa. After years of being in the beauty industry and relocating from state to state, she found herself as a traveling hair stylist. Damali is dedicated to supporting hair stylists in exploring new possibilities, both as stylists and entrepreneurs, with Travel Notice! In writing Travel Notice, her goal is to help hair stylists enter the world of traveling hair stylists while allowing clients to have access to stylists regardless of where they live. Becoming a traveling hair stylist is invigorating; it makes you feel as though you could accomplish anything, anywhere. Being a traveling hair stylist can catapult your existence as a hair stylist as you travel and service clients all over the country. It also allows you to build your authority and expert perception within the industry. This book will show you the options you have beyond being complacent in one salon. Damali was born and raised in the small town of Avon Park, Florida. She attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, and following college, she has worked in all sectors of the beauty industry while living in Florida, New York, New Jersey, and currently San Jose, California. Damali enjoys mentoring and speaking to future professionals at various Paul Mitchell the School locations. She has serviced women all over the United States; including celebrities Raven Symone, Sunshine Anderson, Angela Yee and Vicky Jeudy. She is also a professional speaker and trainer, mainly focused on giving back at Paul Mitchell the Schools. Damali believes that all stylists should have options and not have to settle for working in one salon, and that is why she wrote Travel Notice.
