TORC is the One of a kind CAT , with two book series in work: TORC the CAT discoveries and TORC the CAT short stories. TORC was rescued in 2009 from an animal shelter in Washington State, USA. His curiosity and his loving nature inspired NONA to create her TORC the CAT character. In the TORC the CAT discoveries book series, children will be able to let their imaginations wander the globe with TORC the CAT on his adventures. This educational and interactive children's book series will cover all the continents of the planet while following a pattern of two books per continent. Each continent will be followed by a wonderful special with a unique thematic. In his first book, TORC the CAT interacts with a select variety of animals from North America. He meets wonderful characters such as: ✔ Musky Stinky, a smelly skunk ✔ Nanny the mountain goat and her kid Rocky ✔ Mister Damage, the sly mouse ✔ Enigma the cougar with her two kittens Hiss and Yowl ✔ Peekaboo the nutty squirrel ✔ Whop the gigantic bison ✔ Hoardy the hoarding chipmunk ✔Big Paws the Canadian lynx with her three kittens Tuft, Ruff and Bob ✔ Sharpy the cactus-loving collared peccary, joined by his three family members named Snort, Woof and Grunt ✔ Mama Grizzly the protective bear, with her three cubs Wiggle, Jiggle and Waggle. TORC the CAT wants to help young children become familiar with a broad variety of animal species and to learn some facts about each one along the way. His secret hope is that he can spark a desire for learning that will continue well into adulthood!

Not only is this a children's book that sparks imagination and adventure in your little ones, this book is truly a work of art. The detail in this hand painted, watercolor adventure makes it a fun and educational page turner that both the children and parents can enjoy. I absolutely loved going on the adventure with Torc throughout North America and I cannot wait to see what other adventures he has in store. The coloring book that goes along with this book is absolutely delightful and his Instagram account @torcthecat is so entertaining. Every detail in the Torc collection is brilliant. Thank you for sharing this with the world! I can't wait to see what's next! This is such a cute book and I love the artwork, I want more. I can't wait to travel around the world with Torc the cat !! The visual art of the book is amazing and wonderful to look at. The story line is filled with adventure and curiosity. There are small little questions throughout the book that help children with their imagination and to think about why . Very well written and overall awesome theme. My daughters loved this book. The quality of the book is outstanding. The pictures are great, very realistic. Torc encourages children to go on their own adventures, and explore nature.

Author Information

Nona is a Romanian-American entrepreneur, the author of the Torc the Cat book series, illustrator, fine artist and founder of Nona Design, a studio focused on publishing, photography, illustration and fine art. Her children's books have been translated into multiple languages and her fine art has been commissioned across the world. Nona was born into a family of educators and grew up in a difficult environment surrounded by poverty. She learned from a very early age that the only way forward is through self improvement, helping those in need and giving back to the community. Since 2018, Nona and her husband, Adrian, have been running the #SMILESwithTORC Charitable Campaign, which has resulted in more than 2,600 books being donated to different organizations, programs and little free libraries around the US and Canada. Nona holds masters degrees in chemical engineering and business, and has used her science background to create works that inspire her audience to be curious and learn. Her life's mission is to help others and bring positive change to the world.
