Overview

After his double-life is exposed, Lance promises to become a faithful husband and steady provider for his family. Finding work in the oilfields of western North Dakota, the family of 8 looks forward to a happily-ever-after life. Forgiving her husband, Nonie determines his past stay in the past to cement their marriage, looking forward to moving on as a Christian family unit. Appointed to a state position in the Christian Community that allows her to encourage other women spiritually, Nonie is the most happy and fulfilled that she ever has been. For the first time, her home, her marriage and spiritual life line up perfectly with what she's always dreamed of, prayed for. Becoming restless, Lance insists on a major change for the family. Resigning the position she loves in order to honor her husband, Nonie follows him on a move out of state. Immediately finding a management position for his wife, Lance has difficulty maintaining steady employment for himself. Looking to share a ministry, Nonie and Lance happily find themselves leading praise and worship at a small church in N. Minneapolis. Complaining that his new job isn't paying him, Lance is secretly leaving their much needed finances in Las Vegas. Innocently stumbling across her husbands' new vice, Nonie demands he change. Only 4 months in their new locale, Lance becomes verbally, then physically abusive as he looks for easy money. Pondering a new vocation, Lance considers becoming a pastor, or radio announcer. Deciding to rob a bank, instead, Lance looks for an accomplice. Devastated to learn of his plans, Nonie removes her wedding ring. Promising to expose Lance's plans, he asks for a divorce. Determining her family not only survive but thrive without Lance, Nonie opts for additional education. Becoming violent, Lance thumbs his nose at the order of protection, entering Nonie's home at will. Nursing the need to maintain a good standing in the Christian community by portraying himself to be the innocent victim in their divorce, Lance goes to great lengths to assassinate Nonie's character. Working two jobs to provide the basics for their children Nonie attends school, and cocoons to protect herself. When her car is sabotaged for the 3rd time Nonie realizes not only her life is in danger, but also the lives of her children. She has only one enemy in the world: the man she has been sleeping with for 20 years. Even in protecting her life, God, her great love, is faithful.
