Overview

Jackie is raised by a single father after her mother abandoned them after giving birth. She's a top athlete and is the quintessential tomboy. She has lots of guy friends but has never had an actual boyfriend and has zero intimate experience with guys. She tries out for boys wrestling and makes the team. But the girls lockers are not available this time of year. After consulting with her father, she decides to share the boys locker room with her teammates. Then her sexy girlfriend, Brooke, joins the team and the locker room heats up. Jackie trains hard and becomes one of the team's best wrestlers, and a media celebrity. She falls in love with one of her teammates, who is her dream-come-true boyfriend. Then one day, out of the blue, her long-lost mother shows up and she wrestles with conflicting emotions. Jackie beats the former state champion in the conference tournament but loses to him in the finals. Her coach encourages her to set her sights on winning it all next year. Mr. Barberini lives with his family in Evergreen Colorado, where he volunteers his spare time mentoring local high school students in creative writing and journalism. He is a direct descendant of Antonio Marcello Barberini, the brother of Cardinal Maffeo Barberini, who was elected to the papal throne in 1623, becoming Pope Urban VIII.
