OverviewAn architect, designer, interior decorator and columnist for Domus magazine, Tomaso Buzzi (1900-1981) was-together with Gio Ponti-one of the most important trendsetters for Italian taste in the 1930s and 1940s. After the monographs devoted to Carlo Scarpa and Napoleone Martinuzzi, this volume further extends Le Stanze del Vetro, a series devoted to the history of the Venini glasshouse. A catalogue raisonné, the volume provides a complete overview of the refined oeuvre of Buzzi, who worked in close partnership with Venini & Co. in 1932 and 1933. In those years, the architect designed a series of vases with classical shapes, standing out as a creative designer thanks to his research on materials and shapes, extending as far as to encompass the field of lighting, where the architect devised some new applications of Murano glass.
