Prayer is a powerful tool in bringing people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. From The Eyes of My Heart puts faces to ordinary people in South Asia doing everyday things who need to know the love of a Savior. You can be a part of their spiritual journey by praying for all those pictured in the book! There are 46 black and white and color photos of both people and a few landscapes. The photos are bold and compelling and tell a story all their own. Dana Read Reiser took these pictures for the purpose of prayer. You can look at these photos and pray for the people pictured here but also pray for their families, villages, people groups, states and countries. You can be a part of their eternal journey! Jesus calls us to tell others about him, to pray for them and disciple them. Through prayer you might be the first one to call on Jesus for a person who needs him! People in South Asia understand the spiritual world, but very few pray only to Jesus. You can pray for the people in this book that God would reveal himself through dreams, visions, healings, and other people or through his Word, the Bible. You can pray that they find God's hand reaching down to them and that they respond to Jesus as their one and only true God. Think of your own story of meeting Jesus and remember that you can be a part of changing lives through prayer. They need the chance to know Jesus and choose him as much as we do in the United States. Dana Read Reiser and her husband, Douglas, live in Washburn, North Dakota with their two lovable cats. Dana spent six and a half years as a missionary in South Asia serving with Youth With A Mission working in the communications department. She was based in India from 1992 to 1998. Today she is a farmer's wife and serves on an American Diabetes Association Community Leadership Board (Dana is a person who lives with Type 1 Diabetes) and volunteers as an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. She continues to carry her passion for the people of South Asia and their need of a Savior to all who will listen and pray and go.
