OverviewStephen Cottage lives quietly in an isolated cottage located in a small wooded area by a river at Long Melford in Suffolk. Along with his vivid imagination, he draws upon the myriad of his personal experiences gained from both a life outdoors, sometimes shoveling pig shit, and sometimes not, together with a more introspective, academic life, with an avid, lifelong appreciation of the arts - especially classical music for which, quite often, he is visibly moved to what he thinks must be what they call 'passion.' The following three screenplays encompass some of these aspects of Stephen's intriguing life, especially in the case of Stratford Quilter where not even Stephen's nearest and dearest know which incidents directly relate to Stephen himself, and which don't - it is left to the reader or viewer to hazard a guess! Another facet of all three screenplays is the quirky juxtaposition of the minutiae of contemporary urban against the old-school rural - fascinating, as the one often hasn't a clue about the other! It is said that, if you want to find a fool in Suffolk, you'll have to bring one with you!
