ABOUT THE BOOK This is the author's second work on a legally-related subject matter with the Philippine setting as the foreground. Jurisprudence in the Philippine context is a rich source of wisdom, guidelines, precepts and reference which a citizen may avail of in application to his courses of action as well as routine activities making up his daily chores. The provisions of the Rules of Court, which govern law practice and procedural undertakings in judicial fora, find amplification in decisions, resolutions and rulings which the highest court of the land, the Supreme Court, hand down as a result of evaluation, consideration and deliberation on questions brought before it. The author thus finds it a rare privilege to be able to share to the rest of the world the product of his research utilizing the available data in reliance to the foregoing. On their way to court, litigants or laymen may find a perfect answer to a concern brought forth, or it may be otherwise, a realization of an outcome which may be unexpected. Through this work, the author envisions that at least, or in whatever small means, one who proceeds on his way thereto may have an inkling of what is being tackled there.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR The author, 62 years of age, taught Remedial Law at Aklan College in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines prior to 2007 and has since resettled to Iloilo City, Philippines. His works include several titles in non-fiction and a few in fiction and poetry. He has been engaged in the advocacy of law in the Philippines.
