He has a long engagement in teaching, research and management in petroleum geology and petroleum geochemistry. He is the former president of Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development. He has been awarded the title of ""Sinopec technology and management expert with outstanding contributions"". Currently he is serving as director of the editorial committee of Sino-Global Energy and a part-time professor at China University of Geosciences, China University of Petroleum and Northwestern University. Xuhui Xu received his B. Sc. degree from Chengdu University of Technology and Ph.D. from Tongji University. He has conducted research on assessment and exploration planning of oil and gas bearing basins for more than 25 years. He is now chief president of Wuxi Research Institute of Petroleum Geology, RIPEP, SINOPEC. His interests include basin analysis and basin modeling. Zhiming Li received his B. Sc. and M.
