Here's a book describing how life was for a small boy during WW2, growing up in the project in Washington State, with all the pranks of the innocent, and the fun times of that era, the freedoms that we had and the freedoms that we've lost, and Where politics and politicians have led this country to what it is now. It's scary for the author to see what is happening to this once great Nation. This author doesn't blame the political structure as much as the mushy headed electorate that views either party as their team or the other guy's team and vote accordingly. Who would have ever dreamed that you would need Government permission to repair your roof or build a deck? The Government now from what it was as a youth is monstrous and growing; the spending is out of control, along with outrageous taxes on just about everything you do; Political correctness rules, and big Brother is watching, and recording, and photographing. When someone states that they lived in the good old days; listen up, their telling the truth.
